The Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Management of H&S at Work Regulations 1999, obligates a business to produce a Health & Safety Policy and in a business with five or more employees, your business would need to conduct risk assessments.

By using our team of qualified and experienced consultants to ensure your full compliance with the requirements of current legislation will allow you to have more time to run your business.

Our consultant would act as your ‘competent person’ under the requirements of the Management regulations for the duration of the project.

The H&S Management projects are normally spread over a two year period, however, this may be extended if your business requests it at anytime during the project.

Additional days can be added into the project when the requirements for additional training etc. needs are identified.

At the proposal stage a visit would be made to your site to identify what is required and the amount of days needed to complete the project.

All of your H&S Policies will be produced and tailored to your local requirements.

Accident reporting and protocols for detailed accident investigation will be provided to protect the business and employees.

Assist the business when visited by the enforcement agencies (HSE etc.), and during any litigation claims.

Risk assessments would be conducted for all of your site activities and would include: –

  • COSHH – Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
  • Fire risk assessments
  • Machine & Guarding assessments
  • Manual Handling & Work Related Upper Limb Disorder (WRULD) assessments
  • Display Screen Equipment (DSE) and workstation assessments

The above list is not exhaustive as other assessment requirements may be identified.

From the assessment the consultant will produce and provide safe working procedures / safe systems of work / guarding and safety cut out regular recorded checks; this will assist the business in following best practice requirements.

Noise surveys will be conducted so that the business conforms to the Noise at Work Regulations; this will be supported by a written report and by providing employees with the safety information to stay safe in the workplace.

Management of Contractors is an important control in the workplace. How certain are you that your contractors work in a safe, legal manner, to protect themselves, your employees and your business as you are responsible for any person(s) working on your premises.

Our H&S Management projects will assist you in negotiating lower insurance rates covering you business.

This detailed Management project will greatly assist a business that has plans to establish the ISO18001 Health & Safety Management standard.
